Cagsawa Bus Complaint
This is an email received by the blogger addressed to Cagsawa Travel and Tours.
Ziga St., Tabaco City
Subject : Reckless And Undisciplined Cagsawa Driver of Bus No. 333 Bound for Bicol
Date of Incident : 12 April 2009
Approximate time : Between 10am - 11am
Place of Incident : Atimonan, Quezon, Zigzag Road
Eversince, my family used to ride on the Cagasawa bus, since they have the finest buses and disciplined drivers on the road. I also encourage my relatives and friends to take your bus because your drivers are perceived to be skilled, patient and disciplined. As such, i would say, "That they deserved for commendations and praises for their services in the Bicol region at almost zero incident.
Unfortunately, these perceptions existed no more it suddenly disappeared, like a wink of an eye, since last sunday, April 12, 2009, your bus no. 333 and our car had almost collided head on at the zigzag road in Atimonan, Quezon.
Between 10am - 11am, on our way to Manila, while we drove down at low speed in the zigzag road, your bus bound for bicol had unpredictably overtook three (3) buses on the row, encroaching our lane and dragged us to the rightmost side of the road sending us nearly at the brink of the deep ravine.
With the responsive reflexes of our driver we averted the accident. Thank you to God for sparing our lives at the tip of death. This scenario would not occur, only if your driver is patient and has respect for human lives. He should have not overtaken three (3) buses ahead of him particularly at the zigzag road where steep road, sharp curves and blind corners are imminent.
We should have not written this letter anymore but because of the trauma and experience in that incident, we hardly sleep at night, thinking of what would be our fate, if we have not avoided such circumstances. How much pain and agony our family would suffer for our loss because of that irresponsible driver of yours. Think twice and be sure of every action because your action might change the lives of other people. We have decided to let your management know this incident so as not to repeat the same occurence in the future. This incident should not be taken for granted it is a lesson that must be taught to your drivers. Please tell and advise your drivers to respect and value human lives. Life is precious once it is lost it will never come back. Likewise, instill in their minds that their responsibility is not only with their passengers but to the people on the road in general. Now, i leave the decision into your hands for proper disposition and for whatever action you may deemed appropriate.
We have a saying, "That one rotten apple in the basket will rotten the whole basket", it should be taken out and thrown in the trash so as not to affect the rest of the apple.
If we don't receive action on our complaint we will be forced to send a copy of this complaint to LTFRB and/or any agencies concern on the matter for whatever action they may take to discipline your "Risky" driver.
Thank you very much and more power!
Very truly yours,
